Music all around Hotel des 2 Continents!

Music all around Hotel des 2 Continents!
Prepare your ears, your bodies and your friends, the Fête de la Musique (Music Day) will return tomorrow in Paris and all around Hotel des 2 Continents! As every year, June 21st marks the beginning of outdoor events and the joy of walking through the streets of the City to the sound of trumpets and songs! The program will be rich, and to help you preparing your musical evening, we have made a small selection of what is happening near Hotel des 2 Continents …   No need to go very far since on Place Furstenberg, the Globe-Trotters will set the mood from 6:30 pm to midnight with Sing the World. On the same square, Delacroix Museum, always involved in Paris events, welcomes the conservatory of the 6th arrondissement and its baroque instruments. The opportunity to listen to the same music than Delacroix in his time. Les Jupons de la Marquise, from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm.   On the boulevard Saint-Germain, the Rhumerie will take part in the party with the Cocobamboo group. Nothing else was expected from this place, than a sweet and light atmosphere from the islands! This will be the case with zouk, salsa, or calypso. Music from the tropics between 6:30 pm and 00:30 am.

French songs will be honored in front of number 6 rue de Seine. Each edition of the Music Day gives Joel Dalle the opportunity to sing with the audience. A directory of 120 songs will be distributed to the participants.   Jazz of the 40’s and 50’s at Café Cassette, rue de Rennes with Nicolas Decker! The Quintet will also partner with singer Isabelle Martin to make us travel with a Brazilian atmosphere. From 7:00 pm to midnight.   Rock fans will head to the Place de l’Estrapade in the 5th arrondissement. An outdoor concert, Sugar is Dead, with rock and pop covers like Led Zeppelin or System of a Down. From 9:00 pm to midnight.   We could have talked about the piano and choir at the Hungarian Institute, Space Pony Rock on the Place de la Sorbonne or Jean Sablon on the Place du Louvre, but the program is so crazy that we needed to make a selection. However, you will find the complete program right here.

Hotel des 2 Continents wishes you a great Music Day on this Fête de la Musique!
